Interviews
Interview with Hello Horatio, June 15, 2017. “Praying for Donald Trump as a Non-Fan”
Christianity Today recently encouraged Christians to show mercy towards Donald Trump, whatever his failings. Roger Dewey, a 50-year veteran of working as a Christian in the inner city, wrote a sympathetic and challenging response for HelloHoratio.com. Tom, Dave and Dave’s wife Grace talk with Roger about the complexities of wholeheartedly praying for Mr. Trump as people who think he’s doing damage.

Interview with Russ Jennings of Love In A Dangerous Time, September 2016. “Roger Dewey’s Life of Seeking Conversions”
In July 2016, Claire and I went to the Wild Goose Festival, a four day outdoor festival in Hot Springs, North Carolina. Its theme was Spirituality, Justice, Art, and Music, with a focus on story telling.
I told some stories, and met Russ Jennings, who interviewed me for his blog named after the powerful Bruce Cockburn song.
Lectures
Staley Lecture Series, 1987. “Delicious Fear of Living”
In the early 1980s this was my most frequent message as I raised financial support as director of Christians for Urban Justice. But the Board convinced me that I was freaking out people – that instead of being willing to accept insecurity and trust Jesus, people were desperately seeking security wherever they could find it. This recording was made as the Staley Lecture of 1987 at Missouri’s College of the Ozarks. Its companion lecture was The Great American Identity Crisis.
